Welcome to the Chatcombe Estate Shooting School web site.
Chatcombe has been a Shooting Estate since 1953. Clay Pigeon Shooting was introduced in 1987 and its immediate success led to 'The Lodge' being opened in 1991. Ian Coley, one of the Directors at Chatcombe, is also the Olympic Coach to Richard Faulds, who won Gold in the 2002 Olympics for Clay Pigeon Shooting.
The terrain and targets are ideally suited to both Game and Clay Pigeon Shooters whether they are experienced shooters or absolute beginners. Chatcombe Estate combines the essence of the most exciting shooting available. Surrounded by mature woodland our site is the ideal setting for a shooting school, where a natural valley and the gently undulating ground, provide a wonderful opportunity to shoot targets which simulate every form of British game bird - Driven Pheasants from ninety feet to over one hundred feet, Crossing Pigeons, Driven Partridges and Snipe.
For the Clay Pigeon Shooter we offer all types of sporting targets ranging from the easier coaching type targets to the more challenging targets found at international events. Throughout the year we offer both tuition and practice Tuesday - Saturday and Thursday practice evenings during the Summer.
As a CPSA Premier Ground we take Health and Safety issues seriously and endeavour to combine excellent facilities with organised and well thought out registered competition courses throughout the year.
